Project Overview

MoverXPro showcases my role as a UX developer and designer. The platform offers a powerful, versatile, and user-friendly solution for logistics, sales, and management in the transportation sector. Developed by experienced software engineers and transportation industry veterans, it enhances efficiency while simplifying operations. The All-In-One CRM eliminates the need for third-party systems, enabling operations and sales to manage crews, routes, invoicing, customer interactions, and more. With an intuitive user interface and revolutionized security, it caters to various user roles. The software empowers businesses to set terms, manage estimates, commissions, and real-time reporting, while also providing centralized management and role-driven portals.

Problem Statement

How can we effectively design and develop a comprehensive application to streamline logistics, sales, and management within the transportation industry, while addressing the challenges of operational complexity, third-party system dependencies, and diverse user roles?

Research & Discovery

Research efforts unveiled a range of insights:

  • Reliance on 3rd Party Systems Exiwting CRMs required a series of 3rd programs to complete workflows. A seamless user experience was needed that would streamline various processes, reduce reliance on third-party systems, and simplify common sales tasks.
  • Complicated Interfaces: Competing CRMs were overbundled with features, had too many bells and whistles, and did not provide a clear path forward for new users. A logical, user-friendly top-down system was needed - regardless of user role.
  • Lack of Security: Existing applications in the space did not offer effective system security. Acknowledging this, I envisioned a user-centric design for improved data security across user roles that would enable administrators and sales reps to efficiently and securely navigate the system.

Design Process:

Based on these research insights and the themes that emerged, I prioritized the following design goals:

  • All-In-One CRM: Eliminate the need for third-party systems. Operations manage crew assignments, route planning, invoicing, storage, out-sourcing, and more. Sales handle prospecting, quoting, booking, charging, customer interactions, and more.
  • Intuitive User-Interface: Admins gain a comprehensive workspace view, sales reps access vital information upon login. Designed for efficient workflow for customers, enhancing usability.
  • Improved Workflow: Straightforward yet secure design across user roles. Admins, sales reps, and other users experience secure data handling. Improved workflow for customers through enhanced security measures.
  • Top-Down Control: Prevent reputation damage by setting parameters, adjustable by admin users. Control sales reps' actions to avoid over-discounting and misrepresentation. Easy permission toggling ensures appropriate access for employees.

Final Outcome

1. Role-Driven Company Portal:

Menus are customized based on user role and admin preference. Estimates, follow-ups, and commumnications are faciliatted through an integrated calendar, historical estimate tool, and messaging system.

2. Bird's-Eye Admin View:

Admin dashboard provides a performance snapshot based on chosen filters - day, week, month, year, or custom.

3. All-in-One CRM:

Operations handle crew assignments, route planning, driver invoicing, storage management, job outsourcing, carrier relations, finances, paperwork, and more. Sales manage prospecting, follow-ups, quoting, booking, charging, and customer interactions.

Results

The design, development, and launch of MoverXPro successfully addressed the intitial design goals. The following achievements demonstrate the impact of the app's user-centric design and features:

  • The platform provides enhanced accuracy and streamlined processes.
  • By leveraging QR code scanning, MoverXpro 360 ensures precise inventory tracking, reducing errors and providing accurate estimates for customers
  • The mobile pickup tool streamlines the walkthrough and paperwork process, saving time for both moving teams and customers.
  • Improved accountability and cost savings.
  • Real-time updates and comprehensive digital documentation hold workers accountable for their performance.
  • MoverXPro's digital approach eliminates the need for excessive paper usage, leading to significant cost savings for moving companies.
