Project Overview

Marabu Clearshield Laminate is a leading manufacturer of liquid laminates and inks for large and grand format digital printing, catering to a diverse range of industries. They contracted me to create a landing page with a cohesive user experience, with the goal of generating customer leads for product purchases. I took on the solo challenge of designing and developing this landing page, aiming to enhance the overall user experience, streamline the product selection process, increase customer engagement, and drive sales conversions for Marabu Clearshield Laminate products.

Problem Statement

How might we create a landing page for Marabu Clearshield Laminate that provides clear product information, simplifies the selection process, and fosters customer confidence in their liquid laminate products?

Research & Discovery

To gain a deep understanding of the user's needs and pain points, I conducted comprehensive research. This included analyzing user feedback, competitor analysis, and an in-depth examination of the existing website. My findings revealed several key issues:

  • Lack of Clarity in Product Information: Users struggled to find detailed information about the different types of liquid laminates offered by Marabu.
  • Complex Application Instructions: The application process for various laminates was not clearly explained, leading to confusion.
  • Limited Selection Assistance: Users needed more guidance in selecting the right liquid laminate for their specific printing requirements.

Design Process:

Based on these research insights and the themes that emerged, I prioritized the following design goals:

  • Streamlined Product Pages: I restructured the product page to present information in a concise and easily understandable format. Each product's benefits, applications, and instructions were clearly highlighted.
  • Interactive Product Selector:I designed an interactive product selector tool that asks users a series of questions about their printing needs and recommends the most suitable liquid laminate based on their responses.
  • Visual Design: The visual design phase aimed to create a clean, professional, and user-friendly interface. Marabu's branding elements were incorporated to maintain consistency and reinforce brand identity.

The landing page offers clear and concise information about each liquid laminate, enabling users to make informed decisions.

The product compatibility tool assists users in finding the perfect liquid laminate for their specific printing applications, simplifying the decision-making process.

The website's visual design presents a modern and professional look, instilling confidence in Marabu's product quality.

Results

The following section highlights the impact achieved through the UX-driven creation of the Marabu landing page and strategic marketing efforts. The landing page creation and SEO optimization to the implementation of the product selector tool, the redesign yielded impressive results that significantly increased user engagement, improved customer satisfaction, and identified lucrative opportunities for specific liquid laminate products:

  • Redesigned website and SEO optimization led to a 30% increase in organic web traffic
  • The interactive product selector tool resulted in a 25% decrease in bounce rates and a 40% increase in successful product selections
  • Customer feedback indicated a 20% rise in overall satisfaction with the landing page when compared to the original Marabu website
