What is Universal Design?

The goal of universal design is to offer a single experience that all users can access and use to the fullest extent possible. A related concept, accessibility, is concerned with ensuring that people with impairments and disabilities can utilize interfaces and technologies.

Universal design makes products and services more accessible, allowing for improved usability, better experiences, and a more equitable future. The universal design process provides measurable guidelines that allow products to be evaluated for level of accessibility. This process is what takes universal design from a concept into a tangible subset of user experience.
